Visit Google Play Store on your Android device and search for 'Speedtest' by Ookla. Tap 'Install' to download the free application. The app is lightweight and installs quickly, requiring minimal storage space on your device.

Simply tap the large 'GO' button in the center of the screen to begin your first speed test. The app automatically selects the optimal nearby server. Results displaying download, upload, and ping will appear within 30 seconds.

After completing a test, tap the share icon to post results via messaging apps, email, or social media platforms. Generate shareable images displaying your speed metrics or copy result links to share with others easily.

Tap any saved result to view comprehensive details including server location, connection type, and internal/external IP addresses. Explore the coverage maps feature to view network performance data in your area and compare carriers.

Speedtest requires network access for testing and location permission for optimal server selection. Manage permissions in device Settings under Apps. Phone state permission is optional for identifying carrier information during tests.
